Summary of Electives
The student has a choice of five of the following elective courses.
NME145 Iridology
This course covers the history, science and practical application of iris diagnosis, and its use in nutritional disorders and disease. The use of iridology as an adjunct to other naturopathic modali1ies in everyday protocols, is examined and tested using case studies.

NME146 Homeopathy VII
This advanced course has an open format with both materia medica and case management topics chosen by the students and supervised by the instructor. In addi1ion, research reports are presented by students in the following suggested areas: homeopathic history around the world, computers and homeopathy, homeopathy and communications, proving new remedies, immunology, and scientific research in homeopathic remedies.

NME147 Biofeedback
Investigates the use of biofeedback techniques for treatment of pain. The student researches materials including scientific data and equipment advances in this field. {2 credits)
NME148 Human Sexuality
This course deals with the psychophysiological effects of disorders of the reproductive system. Topics include the effects of impotency, sterility, sexually transmitted diseases, and psychological implications associated with sexual dysfunction.

NME149 P/TE III
In Preventative/Therapeutic Exercise III, the student observes procedures such as total joint replacement, through video tapes, to learn the particular treatment protocols for these specific cases Including, diet, exercise/rehab, and long term naturopathic care.

NME150 Prenatal Health
This course covers the special dietary, nutritional, and physical activity needs Of the expectant mother. Herbal, homeopathic, vitamin, and food combining therapies are outlined.

NME151 Advanced Bodywork
This course reviews such techniques as Tuina, Jin Shin Do, Amma, and other methods in both Japanese and Chinese therapies. (2 credits)
NME152 Addictions and Disorders
This course deals with various addictions in society, i.e. food, drugs alcohol, etc. Various disorders are reviewed, and the course of treatment, both naturopathically and allopathically, is discussed. (2 credits)
NME153 Micro Current
Course studies techniques and advances in the use of micro current therapies and the adjuncts to naturopathic protocols.

NME154 Botanical Studies
This course a/lows the student to participate in herbal identification in the natural habitat, including such activities as 'herbal walks' and studies in various locations throughout the state. (2 credits)
